A New Reason to Live...

Casey was the first person to blog about Flight of the Concords. I felt the need to second his notion by blogging about them too. If you haven't heard about them... you should. They are famed as "New Zealand's fourth most popular folk-parody duo." They are currently starring in a television series on HBO that airs on Sunday evenings. I've watched every episode to date and they have succeeded in making me wet myself each and every time.

The right way:

1 pound bulk Italian sausage (remove casings)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 ounces) tomatoes
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cans tomato paste (6 ounces each)
10 ounces lasagne noodles (10 to 12 lasagna noodles)
3 cups ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
2 eggs
1 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded or thinly sliced

You have got to keep it simple.

Besides, in New Zealand everyone is vegitarian. So, if they did not include onion there would only be two vegetables left. Carrots and beats. Can you imagine a veggie lasagna with only carrots and beats?
There you go friend. Do a little research the next time you decide to ruin my conchordian fun.

I just sat through a marathon of them going on tonight. Brilliant. I was especially tickled by the one with David Bowie. Man, did they catch the fell of that dude and that era. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. The racism one concerning New Zealanders was inspired also including teaching the two boys about the bird. Hillarious.
